Chill! – Ways to Rest and Relax

We’re all people, and we’re no strangers to pressure.

Long days, stressful traffic, you get the idea. After a long night out, or when the entire week is done hanging off your shoulders we’d want to kick back and just let it all loose.

But how?

If the days were spent doing complicated things, it’s usually better to keep it simple. Here’s a list of things we’d like to do during our free time.

Reading

  • Cheesy chick reads? Sci-fi? Spy novels? Sign me up! Depending on what you read, it could help with rebalancing the chemicals in your brain from imagining the stories that happen in books!

Sitting in bed

  • Set up the incense or essential oils(lavender’s my fave) and let the aroma take over the room. A few drops would be just enough.
  • Turn down the lights. Bright lights can be stressful on the eyes and prolonged exposure contributes to migraines.
  • Whip up a coffee/hot chocolate! Foam is good.

  • Enjoy!

Turn off electronic devices(just for a while)

  • It’s hard getting any peace during your free time when you’re constantly connected. Take a break!
  • Turn off the TV, cell, computer and walk for a little. You’ll realise how much liberty is at your disposal. It helps with the destressing!

Sing

  • No better way to get in touch with yourself better than to sing. Pick a song, turn it up and let it out. Besides, you’re at home.
  • It’s okay to read lyrics, we don’t judge. 😛

Play an instrument

  • Something that requires a little focus and learning takes a little while to get used to, but after a while you’d learn to tap into your inner musician.
  • By tuning the world out, you learn to tune in too! Play away!

Meditation

  • When there is noise all around you, take a seat and clear your mind. Like an instrument, you learn to focus on what matters(like what’s for dinner) and your environment will appear before you in a fresher perspective.
  • Deep breaths, tuning it all out, all of which will improve your mental health by reminding you that there is more to life than what is in front of you.

There are many ways in which you could help yourself relax in the face of stress, just remember that you are your own master, and that you decide what’s best for your health, both in and out.

CADEAU – The Gift of Giving

Gifts comes in all shapes and sizes, and we have just the thing for this Christmas.

Introducing our newly stocked brand, CADEAU!

CADEAU is the French word for gift, which sums up the concept about what we wish to achieve and that is appreciation, love, and passion. Through our products, you’d be able to convey that message better to your loved one in as little steps as possible.

Our newest product to be featured is in our line of CADEAU Lip Glows, available in a set of four with each one containing the full effect of a lip balm and is gentle on sensitive skin. Encased in a warm, brassy finish bearing the CADEAU name, the fragrant balm takes on the color of the flower sealed within, immortalizing it as a symbol of gratitude(for as long as there is lipglow left, I’m sure).

The balm itself is handmade using the essences of nine different flowers in its ingredients, and out of a set of four there are also four different flowers sealed inside the lipglow, all harvested from different seasons of the year in South Korea.

We guarantee it looks good.

Timeless and contemporary. Look forward to CADEAU’s release, we’re due for launch in the near future!

Stay tuned for more!

Handmade? Macam yes.

Good day, pretty people!

Today we’re going to be talking about the ups and downs of handmade products, and how it’ll play out in pretty much every aspect of your life. We all know a certain someone who wants to find out what goes into the making of their items because of issues like allergies, ethics, whether if it’s au naturel, you get what I mean!

Handmade products are a big thing in everyday life. You know what you want to make for that someone, and you more or less know the whole process in making that item. The same principle applies when you’re buying something off a shelf and whether you know what went into it.

Did they spend enough care in handling those ingredients?

Have the makers put enough time into its design?

Is this good for me?

After it all, and taking a good look at the whole picture, handmade is good for a lot of things. When someone buys handmade goods, more people would have jobs making those handmade goods to meet demands on a greater scale. Money gets to change hands faster and it makes for healthy competition, too!

Oh, and it also helps the community since you’re spending money on supporting their production, and when they grow they’d also make better products for you to buy and love too!

Handmade goods are also really green, because they tend to go straight on a shelf once their makers are done making them from processed raw materials, so you’d know how where these items come from without getting lost. They’re also pretty, if not mostly better than what you get out of something that’s mass-produced. And the one thing about handmade products is that they’re all unique.

Sure, we may be paying more for something, but you’re paying for the love, the time spent and the skills and artistry that went into creating the things we love today, and through that, the handmade things we buy are so, so much more personal that way.

In short, handmade is good. Support handmade!
